Current Protocols

Current Protocols is a series of laboratory manuals for life scientists. The flagship title, Current Protocols in Molecular Biology, was first published in 1987. It was conceived by a group of researchers at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital. Since then, the series has continued to introduce additional Current Protocols titles.

Scientists contribute methods which are reviewed by one of 14 Editorial Boards. The core content of each title is updated, and new material is added, on a quarterly basis.

In 2009, a website was launched. The site features online versions of all of the texts, research tools, video protocols, and a blog.

Famous quotes containing the word current:

“I” is a militant social tendency, working to hold and enlarge its place in the general current of tendencies. So far as it can it waxes, as all life does. To think of it as apart from society is a palpable absurdity of which no one could be guilty who really saw it as a fact of life.
    Charles Horton Cooley (1864–1929)
