C Mathematical Functions

C Mathematical Functions

C mathematical operations are a group of functions in the standard library of the C programming language implementing basic mathematical functions. All functions involve the use of floating point numbers in one manner or another. Different C standards provide different albeit backwards-compatible, sets of functions. Most of these functions are also available in the C++ standard library, though in different headers. The C headers are included only as deprecated compatibility feature.

Famous quotes containing the words functions and/or mathematical:

When Western people train the mind, the focus is generally on the left hemisphere of the cortex, which is the portion of the brain that is concerned with words and numbers. We enhance the logical, bounded, linear functions of the mind. In the East, exercises of this sort are for the purpose of getting in tune with the unconscious—to get rid of boundaries, not to create them.
    Edward T. Hall (b. 1914)

What he loved so much in the plant morphological structure of the tree was that given a fixed mathematical basis, the final evolution was so incalculable.
