Robert Phillips "Bob" Corker, Jr. (born August 24, 1952) is the junior United States Senator from Tennessee. Corker, a Republican, served as mayor of Chattanooga, Tennessee from 2001–2005, and was elected to the U.S. Senate in 2006, succeeding Bill Frist. Corker was a businessman prior to holding public office During the 113th congress he will become the ranking Republican member on the Senate Foreign Relations Commitee.
