Effects Upon Science
Following the revelations of the Alder Hey scandal various individuals within the UK scientific community began to worry publicly about the effects of the scandal upon organ donation rates. Many public figures openly expressed concern for the potential harm that could be done to scientific research as well.
Time has proven these concerns to be unnecessary. Donation rates have remained consistent with virtually no change because of the amount of attention given to the Alder Hey scandal by the media.
