It's always difficult to look at more than 330 stories published this year to select only ten. But here is my personal selection of science stories that I found either important, exciting or simply surprising. From food on future trips to Mars to smart bees which can find land mines, and from trains fueled by cows to simple mathematical equations explaining the metabolic rates of all living organisms, read the most interesting science stories of 2005.
See you in 2006!
